- Group children at the same reading level
- Send out invitations or post a flyer in your local library or book store.

- Library, book store, coffee shop, or rotate at your participants’ homes.

- Ask the children to suggest books, and have them come ready to share a summary of the book. Then, take a vote!
- What will your children’s book club meetings be like?
- Consider an organizational meeting first, to get to know each other, exchange contact information, lay ground rules and decide which book to read first.
- Decide how much time to spend on discussion (typically 20 minutes or more), announcements, book-related activities, and decide whether you will have snacks and who will bring them.
